| In all kinds of foundation types, with high bearing capacity, small settlement, best stability, good earthquake resistance, wide range of use, pile foundation came in for human's consideration and will be used widely with each passing day.In the bridge construction, single pile and pile groups are often subjected to significant lateral loads in addition to axial compressive and uplift loads. The lateral loads on piles are derived from the centripetal force from vehicular traffic on curved highway bridge, loads from water, wave or vessels, and so on. So the interaction between the laterally loaded pile and soil is complex.Under lateral loads, pile's analysis is a typical topic of pile-soil combined action. For now, theoretical analysis methods mostly contain: analytical method, semi analytical curve fitting method and numerical method. The elastic foundation beam method has some merits such as definite model and easy calculation pattern, so it's used widely in foundation design. But it is difficult to select a right m-value to the soil. Commonly, the Codes just provide reference range of m-value, it's optional to choose a value for design, so it's necessary to calculate a certain m-value according to the area's field data, so as to offer a reference for pile foundation design in a similar layer or vicinity.This paper summarized findings and progresses of similar topics both here and abroad, according to ZhengXi high speed railway transportation line's practical situation of test piles, coupling with statical loading test of pile foundation, laid reinforcement meter in test piles, recorded relative dates. According to TD, I did numerical simulation analysis of test piles in typical soil layer, got the right m -value which was fit to this collapsible loess area's soil layer and used the value to calculate pile body's hypogene, compared with actual results of lateral static test and discussed, then got several useful conclusions which could be used for engineering design. |
