The in-phase and one way feeding mode have been adopted for the Overhand Contact Line System(OCS) in our country,and for the purpose of balancing three-phase load of power system,each phase of electricity is used in rotation,so Phase-separation has to been set on the common boundary of different phases.The drivers must do the accurate operations to trip line circuit-breaker and rise or lower Pantograph when Electric Locomotive(EL) passes the Phase-separations.With the speed of train being improved much,this method obviously can not meet the requirements of high-speed operation.So several of Automatic Passing Phase-separation Devices are come into being.The Ground Switch Automatic Passing Phase-separation Device has advantages in shortening off time,effecting EL's speed of all those devices.But the over-voltages and flow frequently happen at phase-separations and transformer of EL when EL pass this device,they cause the protection discharge of the EL,induce tripping operation of the substation and assist-motors'flow.It seriously affects the electric railway's safe operations there is an urgent need for transient process research when the EL pass this device.Firstly,the paper studied and analyzed the transient process when the EL pass Phase-separations by using the Ground Switch Automatic Passing Phase-separation Device in detail,largely including mechanism of bringing forth over-voltages,flow of transformer and assist-motors.Secondly,the paper also given the relationship between closing phase-angle,residual-voltage and over-voltage by using mathematical formula. The waves of over-voltage and flow were simulated by using MATLAB/SIMULINK language when the EL pass the Phase-separation Device with the breakers switched,meanwhile a simplified model of auxiliary circuit of the EL was completed,the waves of residual voltage and flow of auxiliary winding were also simulated.all of the results and waves given were analyzed in detail in the paper.Finally,the paper presents and analyzes on-the-spot survey waves and data,then draws the conclusion of the theoretical analysis and the simulation is accurate and feasible.
