Rectangular concrete pools , which is one of the special structure, is widely used in water supply and drainage works. According to the rectangular pool of its own characteristics, It is usually done in the design process simplification: floor, wall and roof are calculated, and usually in the calculation of the floor, the anti-role of the bottom of the foundation is simplified linear distribution. Actually,Pond Structure is a clear spatial structure, and the anti-role of the pool bottom of the foundation is not linear distribution, but led to the large difference between simplify calculation of water pool and the actual results. In this paper, the common function of rectangular concrete pool and the foundation and it's design theory and analysis methods are researched. Using finite element software SAP2000, rectangular concrete pools on the foundation of common role and the space model are analysed. According to Winkler foundation model assumption that the common role of the foundation is simulated through the spring of bearings in the finite element model , spring bearing stiffness changes in response to the different stiffness of the foundation, floor thickness changes in response to different floor stiffness. The pool floor, wall and roof are calculated using the shell object in the finite element program. Analysing the foundation anti-force distribution curve of pools in different foundation stiffness and rigidity of the pool floor, The result of finite element analysis and the distribution of the foundation anti-force according to Winkler foundation model assumption agree well, which means the feasibility of modeling. This study provide a reference model and basis of theoretical analysis for the better common pool and the foundation of performance analysis in the future.
