In the construction of Kunming-Hekou railway in Mengzi region,the route pass through the expansive rock&soil high frequency; So expansive soil roadbed is the frequently disease of the project construction, expansive soil is common in the construction of one of the special geotechnical disease in china at present.This paper based on the yuxi-mengzi paragraph of the Kunming-Hekou railway in constrcting, gave a briefing on the research status,nature and various evaluation parameters of expansive soil.And carried out a series of indoor soil test and triaxial shear.test of Yuxi-Mengzi railway expansive soil and Chengdu longtan temple expansive soil, to acquired physical and mechanical indicators of two expansive soil.And it designed and made the expansive soil Pile -sheet Retaining Wall embankment centrifuge test model prototype to Yuxi-Mengzi railway DK99+648~DK99+700 research projects by calculated on similar principles. To simulate Pile-sheet Retaining Wall and reinforced soil of Yuxi-Mengzi railway expansive soil embankment. The simulate test included two test conditions, unreinforced embankment and reinforced embankment. And every experiment condition contained two categories, optimum water content condition and rich water condition. To tested the strain of slide-resistant pile and retaining plate and deformation of roadbed and slide-resistant pile respectively in every centrifuge model test. Through the analysis of test results got the work property of reinforced expansive soil embankment Pile-sheet Retaining Wall. And evaluated the treatment effect of it. It is the bases for design of Yuxi-Mengzi railway expansive soil roadbed. And to provide reference to treat the diseases of expansive soil for others projects in Yuxi and Mengzi.
