From the view of energy and environment which is facing enormous challenge and the characteristic of solar resource in Xizang which is sanitary and available in abundance , this paper studies the applicability and feasibility of solar high temperature heat pipe in Xizang.Firstly, this paper expounded the characteristic and the application of solar energy.The characteristic of solar energy resource in Xizang; it also expounded the feasibility of application of high temperature heat pipe in Xizang. This paper introduced the research and development of high temperature heat pipe technology and analyzed the compatibility of heat pipe materials with the working fluid, the choice of working fluid for the high temperature heat pipes.Secondly, this paper theoretically analyzed high temperature heat pipe parabolic solar concentrator. This include: The principle of parabolic solar concentrator, the choice of paraboloid type, the design and analysis of high temperature heat pipe parabolic solar concentrator, confirmed the length of evaporative section, adiabatic section and condensing section, we developed the mathematical model of evaporative section , condensing section and the whole heat pipe, we simulated the heat transfer process of evaporative section , condensing section and the whole heat pipe in Visual Basic programming language.Thirdly, this paper did experimental research with high temperature heat pipe. The ratio of the actual length of the heat pipe we used to the theoretical length was 10 to 1.We did the experiment at different power and different obliquity and we got the experimental data. According to the experimental data, this paper analyzed the heat transfer performance of high temperature heat pipe, the effect of different power and obliquity on the heat transfer performance and efficiency of the high temperature heat pipe.Lastly, this paper summed up all the work done, summarized the advantage of high temperature heat pipe and pointed out the problems in application popularization. The author put forward his own suggestion.
