In the north of China, it is a widespread phenomenon, after constructing the tide gate at the estuary, the decrease of discharge runoff leads to the aggradations after the gate. It gives a negative effective to flood control, waterlog control and navigation of the estuary. Basing on the engineering practice, aiming at solving the problem of flood control, applying the mathematical sedimentation model, in the paper, disposing aggradations plan, discharge capacity and sedimentation capacity of the Haihe river estuary have been researched. It contains generally five parts as follows:(1) A brief instruction of primary approach to mathematical sedimentation model, and then analyze the characteristic of tide-hydrologic silt.(2) Build up two-dimensional mathematical sedimentation model, which is tested and verified according to measured terrain and hydrologic data.(3)Towards different up-gate water levels, compute the discharge capacity and sedimentation capacity of each plan, meanwhile analyze results and economic value. Give the resolution of the rate of sedimentation.(4) By comprehensive compare, qualitatively analysis the regulations between length, width, bottom elevation of disposed estuary and discharge capacity, sedimentation capacity. Finally, give the optimum plan.
