The issue is commissioned by Tianjin Communication & Broadcasting group co. Ltd(TCB), to complete the research and implementation of baseband signal processing parts of the 4137 railway wireless transmitter-receiver. The original 4137 base band signal processing is implemented by several specialized chips, the modulater/demodulater is MSM6882. The structure is not conducive to the functioning of the system expansion and upgrading. Also responsible for signal detection chip has been suspended temporarily, unable to find suitable alternatives.Therfore, the company decided to use DSP to constitute the base band signal processing module. This paper introduces the hardware, software and algorithm design process and principle. The author have in-depth studied the railway transmitter-receiver's principles, understanded the technique of the base band signal processing part, thus reasonably designed TMS320C5402 DSP system, and useed the DSP's interrupt sources and I/O ports, make the system carried out base band work without change of the host interfaces and procedures. In addition, the author designed algrithm, and programmed on the VC++ environment, and throughed MATLAB tools for simulation, finally build on CCS, debugged through. After the comprehensive test instrument indicators test, optimized the algorithm and software, achieved the railway standards. This paper also designed the upgrate object of the railway communication system, use the TMS320F2812 DSP replace the control and processing parts of the transmitter-receiver, so as to enhance performance, economize cost, and analyse the feasibility of this blue print.
