Research On Complexity Form Of Contemporary Exhibition Building And Space

With the characteristic of non-linear, "the complexity science" is faltering people's mode of thinking which is used to be conventional,mechanical,linear and antitheses. Meanwhile, it is proved by science that the world is a deep fusion of order and disorder. Thinking of "complexity" has also extensively penetrated into architecture design, with a higher creational feedom, the exhibition building and space can easily be a terrace of expressing complexity.Firstly, the article introduces the science background of architectural complexity; then, I take time as clues to look back the architecural thoughts in neoteric and modern history which criticized the simple and linear thinking in modern architecture; finally, I sum up the characteristic of complexity in form and idea of contemporary architecture as an explicit understanding of the problem.Later on, I discourse upon the complexity form of exhibition building and space from outside to inside. First, it is the geometry operation of the exterior appearance. This part takes the geometric classification as clues to elaborate in detail the mathematics tool and principle while molding complicated shape. Then, via the thinking of bionic, I point out that animate nature is also an important realm to obtain form. Second, the external scarfskin of architecture also has potential to construct complexity. This part begins from the disenchantment of scarfskin in information age. I discourse upon the texture of single material,combinition of material,weave of color,disappearance of architecture brought by transparent scarfskin and scarfskin with dynamic image which introduces image technic. In the end, I change direction towards interior space so as to discuss the complicated form of exhibition space. It includes the composition of space form,interface,sequence and aberrance of traditional shape of space with the introduction of new technic and non-linear settings. It is clear that with the penetration of "complexity", the exhibition architecture which is becoming more and more important to visualization of city,public participation and cultural communication is undergoing a huge transformation.
