The restriction of the testing condition and complexity of grease floating property, so the research of rheological properties of grease is few. Therefore based on the EHL theoretical research and actual application, possessing the basic data of rheological properties of grease is particularly important. The research of rheological properties of grease with nano-particles is the foundation of studying other grease performances, also offers basis to study nano- particles lubrication mechanism.In this paper, select Li 3# and Grease 7014 as basis grease. SiO2 and TiO2 are selected as additives. Firstly, analyse the relationship between apparent viscosity and shearing rate in colloid chemistry field and the rheological properties of grease with nano-particles. Discuss the rheological properties based on Fluid - solid two-phase particles flow theory.Secondly, based on variance analysis, mathematical statistics and regress theory, have tested the apparent viscosity of grease with nano-particles. The apparent viscosity of grease with nano-particles increases with the increasing nano-particles content within the proportion confine. Nano-particles content, soap content and temperature, each factor influence is notable. The relation of primary and secondary is soap content, temperature, nano-particles content.Finally, we research the rheological properties of grease with nano-particles using RS150 Awl-board Rheometer. The rheological curve is obtained through the rheological experiment. Then the rheological equation is established. It shows that the apparent viscosity of grease with nano-particles decreases with the increasing shearing rate. The apparent viscosity of grease with nano-particles presents obvious to shear rarefication, and shows so notable Non- Newton property. Have investigated the influence of temperature on rheological properties of grease with nano-particles. The grease with nano-particles deviates the Newtonian fluid degree to be bigger at low temperature than that at high temperature. It shows that the nano-particles grease has notable Non- Newton property at low temperature. Analyse the the rheological mechanism based on entanglement theory.
