This paper mainly discusses the application of digital signal processor (DSP) in projectile computer system of guided bomb. A new structure based on DSP and FPGA is put forward to design the hardware platform of the onboard computer system in this paper.Combining the characteristics of the modern navigation techniques and the requirement of navigation computer system, the advantages of the structure based on DSP is discussed comparing to last generation anolog autopilot system,and the detail information about hardware design and software programming of the projectile computer system development is described. The projectile computer system's overall scheme and hardware circuit are designed after requirement analysis and chips selection, and the system software is also developed. The projectile computer structure is based on DSP and FPGA, where the former is used to execute control and guide algorithm, while the latter is to control the system I/O operation. In this way, the two processors can take full advantages of their own characteristic. NOR FLASH is used to implement bootloading of the system. The real time information collection and process subsystem is developed based on FPGA. Furthermore, many communicating interfaces are applied, including 4 channels RS-422 interface, 25 channels I/O interface, MIL-STD-1553B interface, and their corresponding driver program are also developed. The control and guide algorithm using proportional navigation rule is realized in this system. The developing process of hardware circuit and driver program of each function model is described in detail. The engineering machine is made after being tested and improved several times. Experiments are conducted, when linked with IMU and the test equipment, the results are given finally.The experiments results approve that the projectile computer system based on DSP can obviously improve the system operating precision, minish the system cubage, power and cost, increase the flexibility of extending and updating. It can make the projectile computer system more applicable, better future of market, and great military significance.
