Hall Thruster has been used broadly in spaceflight, it can provide power for satellites control, orbit shift and so on. The followings are its advantages: small cubage, compact configuration, little thruster, great specific impulse. This kind of thruster has a long life-span with which it can be used for exploration far away, available load and expense for spacecraft can also be improved. Spectrum diagnosis is a contactless method without perturbation. As an important means, it has some particular advantages compared with the others, it is convenient to use it for measurement of plasma parameters and analysis of characteristics for thruster.Based on previous researcher's work, this paper gives a deep look to the basic theoretical models of spectrum diagnosis in Hall Thruster, and also diagnosed spectrum in the channel and plume with the models. In the aspect of basic theory, we introduced the super transition radiation theory which is based on velocity equations, combined characteristics of spectrum in Hall Thruster. The established super transition radiation model about Hall Thruster simplified calculation expense to a certain extent. Combined with the collision radiation model, we introduced the first category Fuleidehe Muzi equation containing the electron energy distribution function, and the steps of solving the electron energy distribution function with the discrete regularization algorithm. According to the excitation and radiation Principle, we established collision radiation model and sunglow model for radiation in the plume and the channel of Hall Thruster respectively, calculated parameters such as electron temperature with the relative spectral radiation intensity. We established the absolute intensity formula of the radiation spectrum by using the idea of plasma emission source intensity, so the calculation value can be compared with experiment result. We established a spectral measurement system for plume, with this system we measured the spectral radiation intensity versus the axis in plume, and we calculated the average electron temperature distribution along the axial in plume area using the relative intensity of spectrum for different discharge potentials. A calculated model is established about spectra radiation distribution along the radial in plume, based on this model we studied the radial spectra radiation distribution versus axial, result indicates that as the increase of axial distance, the double peak structure of radial distribution evolves to single peak structure gradually, it means that the region of strongest radiation intensity will be degraded to a point from the ring belt shape. This paper put forward the concept of plume spectrum radiation divergence degree (ξ) originally. When the magnetic field configuration is divergent, the plume performs less focus, andξis big, contrarilyξis small. We usedξto describe the divergence degree of spectrum radiation intensity, then studied changes of magnetic field configuration.Parameter measurement in Hall Thruster channel has important significance, we introduced the system of spectrum measurement in channel firstly. We adjusted the structure of Hall Thruster, and elicited Spectral radiation in the channel by using the method of stiletto in the outer Ceramics of Hall Thruster. Research indicates that the atomic Spectra intensity increases along the axes, and the max of atomic spectra intensity moves to anode as the increase of discharge potential, it makes a conclusion that the ionization region moves toward anode. Ion spectra intensity has two max area. As the increase of mass flux, the atomic spectra intensity behaves linearity increase, so does the ion spectra intensity Before the ionization region, but except the ionization region.
