High precision FOG is the important part of navigation and guidance system.It is the angle velocity sensor based on Sagnac effect and the angle velocity is mesured by sensed the photic distance of clockwise and withershins, It's high precision,high sensitivity,superiority reliability,light weight,wide dynamic range and small volume make it widely used in military and civilian fields. Because all of above,the scientific researches and experiments on it became hot topics in recent years.Firstly, recent development in this country and abroad is introduced in this paper,FOG will be used in more control and guidance systems based on the application of FOG now.Then introduces the principle and structure of IFOG,and the controller of the closed-loop fiber optic gyroscope is design based on it. Moreover the PID controller was choosed,and then validates its feasibility in engineering.The principle and signal detection method of FOG are studied and experimented,base on it,the digital closed-loop detecting system of FOG is successfully developed with the step wave modulating technology.Secondly, we design the main structure base on signal detection method.On the basis of high speed DSP TMS320F2812 designed by TI, the digital closed-loop software and hardware systems of FOG are developed.Then the noise maybe effect the system and the method of digital signal processing are researched, and the precision of FOG has been improved effectly by use several filter algorithms.In the end, the measurement method of several important parmeters and results of tests are given.
