The cable network structure which is an important form of spatial tensile structures system belongs to the flexible structure, compared with the traditional rigid structure, its structural mechanics behavior has two distinct characteristics: one is structure geometry form and prestress are interactional, and the mechanical analyse model is decided by form finding analysis which is a strong geometric non-linearity process; another is the structural mechanics behavior is also strong geometric non-linearity in work phases. The research on calculational methods of cable network structure is an important and difficult problem all the while. The analytic theory of cable network structure has a well development in these years. Proposed many kinds of analyzing methods, there are membrane simulated calculational method which bases on continuous postulate and non-linear finite element method that bases on discrete postulate. The analyzing of cable network includes both form finding analysis and static analysis, this thesis contrastingly exercises continuous theory and discrete theory of cable network calculation, the main works are listed as follows:1. Introduced the membrane simulated method which bases on continuous theory, and a energy equation is set up, this basic equations are obtained through the variational of energy equation, simplified this basic equations, and took out the practical formula of cable network analytic calculation. Meanwhile introduced how to use the formula to form finding analysis and static analysis of cable network.2. For the discrete theory of cable network calculation, the basic principle of the force density is introduced firstly, used the principle, the system of linear equations of equipollent density curved surface searching and minimal surface searching of the cable network are obtained. Secondly, for the geometry nonlinear response of the cable network, non-linear finite element method is brought in the form finding analysis and static analysis of cable network, and discussed iterative methods choice about the nonlinear equation solves. Finally, introduced the force density method and non-linear finite element method of cable network concrete realization in this article.3. In these calculation examples, this paper makes the force density method in form finding analysis of the cable network structure by using MATLAB to compile the computer programs, and makes the non-linear finite element method in form finding analysis of the samples of the cable network structure with the versatile finite element method software ANSYS. Analytic calculational method which bases on continuous postulate and non-linear finite element method that bases on discrete postulate are used contrastively in the static analysis of the cable network structure. Whether considering a boundary beam or not about the form finding analysis and the static analysis of the cable network structure are compared in the last calculation example.
