Power transformer is one of the most important equipment in the power system, and it is basic to ensure power supply reliability. On-line monitoring and diagnosing power transformer running state has very important meaning for power system security. Lately, power transformer on-line monitor technology has been developed rapidly, power transformer on-line monitor data are deal with and transferred using computer technology and communication technology, then real-time running state is acquired, and it is successful to be applied in actual projects and some better on-line monitor effects are take. But on-line monitor reliability and nicety need to be improved because of disadvantage of present measure technology and complexity of power transformer interior faults. ARM embed technology is adopted in this study, and on the basis of power transformer dissolved gas-in-oil analysis (DGA), a power transformer on-line monitor and fault diagnosis system has been designed to preferably satisfy demand of transformer on-line monitor and diagnosis in power system, then it is better to insure power system security running.Firstly, the relation of power transformer interior fault types and gas-in-oil content is analyzed, and research actuality and application of transformer multi-dissolved gas-in-oil on-line monitor and fault diagnosis technology has been lucubrated, then using power transformer dissolved gas-in-oil content is ascertained to monitor transformer's running state in this study.Secondly, power transformer on-line monitor system is carried through hardware design. LPC2114 SCM design board based on ARM7 has been selected in this system, and some hardware resources relating with the system are properly used, then every electronic unit has been designed and applied in the on-line monitor system, so the system's hardware design has been expediently completed, and study time is shortened in this system.Thirdly, the software design of the power transformer on-line monitor has been carried out. TheμC/OS-II operating system is mainly transplanted to ARM7, then data collection and processing procedures are wrote with the C language, and there are three fault diagnosis methods being used to diagnose power transformer in this system ,which are IEC three-ratio method, rough set diagnosis method and fuzzy diagnosis method. Meanwhile states monitor and display in up computer are programmed with the Visual Basic 6.0 language. So every part of soft analysis and design has been completed.Finally, power transformer on-line monitor and diagnosis data are real-timely upload to up computer PC with cluster interface RS-232, it has realized to communicate between down and up computer, then state monitor function of up computer has been done. It has carried through on-line monitor and fault diagnosis tests with some actual fault data, the results of the tests indicate that the on-line monitor and diagnosis system is effectiveness and feasibility.
