The research on dynamic system identification in time domain is a front subject in the field of current civil engineering. System identification technique based on the dynamic test is becoming an important means of damage detection of engineering structures. But because of the drawback of incomplete output response, uncertain environmental excitation, it is very difficult to apply system identification directly to the dynamics detection of actual engineering structures, using the traditional theories and methods. Hence, how to identify structure with incomplete information is an important problem in this field. This paper is devoted in the study of this problem. This paper can be divided into six parts.In the first part, the importance of parameter identification and health monitoring for structures is introduced. And many methods of this field in recent years are reviewed and summarized.In the second part, structure identification in time domain with incomplete input information is studied. Three compound inversion algorithms are constructed, whose additional correcting conditions in iterative process vary with the dynamic property of load excitation. Decomposition Algorithm it uses is the one of them.In the third part, the dynamic equations and parameter identification equations of sub-structure in general use are established, which make full use of the gathering laws in finite element method. At the same time, combining sub-structure method with compound inversion algorithm, the problem of structural parameter identification and load inversion under the condition of less measurement information is solved.The fourth part studies the non-complete response information restructuring method, the integral operator method of transformation has overcome the immediate integration to the initial velocity dependence, has realized under the response information incomplete condition design parameter recognition.The fifth part combines the front studying sub-structure-decomposition algorithm with the incomplete information restructuring method, proposes the sub–structure-information restructuring-decomposition algorithm, distinguished under the limited survey condition also only then the acceleration response known operating mode, conformed to the actual situation extremely.The sixth part summarizes the main content of this paper and predicts the future development of this field.
