EMC Test In Anechoic Chamber

With the extending of EMC test standard during recent years, people pay more attention for electromagnetic compatibility of the electronic equipment. Many manufacturers attach importance to EMC test and if the emission or immunity can accord with the related standard. Therefore, anechoic chamber which is one of the EMC test field developed quickly.For a good performance, exact test data and supervisee of the EUT emission, this paper investigated and discussed the technique capability, field calibration test, and the radiated emission test and radiated immunity test in the anechoic chamber. SAC with the metal catopter on the ground plane simulates the Open Area Test Site (OATS), mainly for the radiated emission measurement below 1GHz. FAC without the metal catopter simulates the free space, for the radiated power test.The paper discussed the test method of radiated emission in the semi anechoic chamber, radiated power in the fully anechoic chamber between 30MHz and 1000MHz. It analyzed the comparative results, and referred the factors that can influence the expressions modification.
