In the industry of metallurgy and paper making, there are lots of rectifying equipments which controlled by fluid drive being used. But this kind of method usually brings lots of problem and it is hard for maintenance. Sometimes terrible problem would be caused. In this case, we bring forward a new kind of rectifying method-Magnetic rectifying roller, especially for the high precision requirements manufacturing. This kind of method bases on the present Active Magnetic Bearing (AMB) technique. It adds the pose controlling in the control system of AMB, and according the rectifying requirements design the new configuration of the system especially the magnetic parts. The new system conquers the weakness of the former rectifying roller.In this paper, firstly introduce the back ground of the Magnetic Rectifying Roller project, especially the configuration, principle and the global development situation.Secondly, analyze the obliquity in magnetic field and the big air clearance in magnetic field of magnetic rectifying equipment (Magnetic Bearings with Controllable Pose) with the ANSYS and measurement results, and it approve the feasibility of the new method, analyze the problems might be met in debugging, and try to solve them. Based the results of analyses above, both nonlinear and magnetic leak are analyzed.Based the analyses of the magnetic field, the testing equipment of magnetic rectifying roller is designed, with the permanent magnet and electromagnetic mixed magnetic fields. Analyze and simulate the new mixed both with the Finite Element and measurement results. Get the final results of design about the magnetic path. The mixed magnetic path design reduces the difficulty of control system and other systems.Then, with the mixed magnetic path design, we build the simulate model for the whole system by MATLAB/SIMULINK, especially for the PID control system. Optimize the parameter of the system by simulating. Get succeed on the testing equipment of magnetic rectifying roller with the parameter got in simulation.At last, we get succeed on the EMC and incorporate design, make the equipment more fit for the factory manufacture.With mixed magnetic design and the parameter, we get succeed on the testing equipment. Get the anticipative results on the equipment.
