The earthquake disaster happens randomly and is difficult to predict accurately. Once occurring, it will destroy the natural environment and resources, and result in casualties and property loss. Therefore, research on earthquake-resistant technology has important theoretical significance and application value, and many scholars, experts of geotechnical engineering in the world are absorbed in it. The problem of slope stability under the seismic loading is one of the hotspots on earthquake-resistant researches in the current geotechnical engineering, since it involves several subjects and has abundant research contents. Based on the related researches, the slope stability under seismic loadings is studied in this paper. The concrete research contents and main anchievements are as follows:(1) The causes influencing stability of slope under earthquake are analyzed, the internal causes such as geologic structure, structural types of rock mass, rock character of strata, landform and geomorphology, hydrogeology, and the external causes such as seismic loading, artificial factors are discussed in order to instruct the design and stabilization of slope.(2) Based on the relations of displacement reflections, the influence of reflection and parameters, including an incident angle of earthquake wave, Poisson's ratio and velocity waves are discussed when the earthquake wave is transmited from soft rock to hard rock. According to the research, the instability criterion of slope by using an incident angle of earthquake wave in certain conditions is built up. Furthermore, the uniform expression of Mohr's strength criterion which is suitable for seismic and static state is discussed. Finally, the calculating formula of vibration velocity is deduced, and then the feasibility of adopting critical vibration velocity to judge the blasting earthquake effect is discussed.(3) By using the software FEM, displacement and strain of rock slope whether weak sandwich is imbedded or not is computed and compared. The influences of weak sandwich on the damage of slope are concluded. According to numerical simulation of the different models, the relations between the thickness, dip angle of weak sandwich and the slope stability are analyzed by the calculated results of displacement and speed. According to the relations of the dip angle of structural interface and the incident angle, the feasibility of judging slope stability by the means of an incident angle is approved.(4) According to actual engineering conditions, the stability of rock slope on Jishixia is analyzed by using the instability criterion of slope, and the correctness is proved by using numerical simulation. Furthermore, the scheme on consolidation at dangerous positions by using bolts is presented and the bolted effect of the slope stability after reinforcement is analyzed.
