With the rapid development of domestic power industry, the integration of power plant information will become intensive. The applications and analysis of DCS data in power plant will benefit to operation optimization, the economy, safety and reliability of power unit. In the paper, ORACLE is chosen to construct data warehouse. By OWB the logical structure of data warehouse was established and star-model of data warehouse was adopted. Based on DCS data of 1# unit Huaneng Fuzhou Plant, plant unit operation optimization tutor system is developed by Java as develop tool .The system contains six function modules such as data collection, processing, monitoring on time, on-line testing, operation optimization, statistic inquiry and system management. Finally the support vector machine model of steam turbine heat rate was presented .It is showed that the SVM model can be used to assess the steam turbine heat rate for different operation conditions ,and the SVM model can meet the need of unit economic diagnose.
