The Interior Design And Research Of Color Of Kid's Rooms

Today, people has higher demand on interior colour environment with development of chromatology and improvement of people's living standard. People is paying more attention on disadvantaged groups (such as children) in such field. The theory of colour design provides a theoretic direction for interior colour design of kids' room. Colour is acting a very important role that enforce art fascinating power in interior decoration and provide a comfortable living environment for kids. It has the ability to stimulate kid's vision growth, adjust kid's emotion, and perfect kid's character, etc. Considering above reasons colour is very important in interior design. So this paper is focus on the research of interior colour design of kids' room.After investigating fifty kids and focusing on four cases of different kid's character, this paper gives the viewpoints that kids have special preference and notion on colour, and a connection is also exist between kids' characters and gender and colour tastes. According to above view point, the theory of interior design, formal Aesthetics Rule of colour, kidology, it produces the principle of match colours of interior colour design of kids' room that includes following principles, security, character, contrast, harmonize, integrity and extension. It designs a procedure of interior colour design of kids' room after researching and investigating kids' psychology and character. It also gives some analysis cases in this dissertation. Finally, it discusses the tendence of interior colour design of kids' room from function of interior colour design.
