Ferroresonance overvoltage is one of the inner overvoltage that always occurring in neutral isolated system and sometimes in neutral grounded system. The overvoltage and overcurrent of Ferroresonance make great harm to stable and safe running of power system. For keeping the transmission and distribution equipments out of damage, it is very important to research the Ferroresonance simulation model and detection method.Aim at the 110kV neutral grounded system and35kV neutral isolated system the ATP-EMTP simulation program is used to research the substation Ferroresonance simulation model, and the Ferroresonance situation on this substation 35kV and 110kV bus PT is simulated.The 110kV neutral grounded system, Find the characteristic of the Ferroresonance when all the capacitances to earth of the system changed. Find the characteristic of the Ferroresonance when the circuit-breaker grading capacitance changed.The 35kV neutral isolated system, Find the characteristic of the Ferroresonance when the parameter of the system changed. Various suppression method such as connecting an arc-extinguishing winding to the neutral point of power system, connecting damping resistance to the broken delta winding of three-phase PT are researched and compared, then give a new suppression method. The research of ferroresonance has the practical value of fault analysis and controls in the power system.
