Renewal Of The Old Settlements In Inner Wuhan City

Recently the old settlements redevelopment in inner city has many achievements in economic benefits. On the other hand, it brings so many problems such as the historic scenes disappearing rapidly and the traditional blocks broken, and other societal conflicts. Faced to the actual problem, this thesis discusses many basic theory research and analysis of the classic case. It focuses on the development trends and patterns of the old settlements by urban planning methods to gain the protecting the achievement of history on the old settlements and renewing the traditional blocks to fit the new city living. It emphasizes that the analysis and research on the renewal of Wuhan old residential areas. Many actual problems and the redevelopment strategy are introduced. In the piece of the urban blocks space, it also presents the way of constructing the livable community.
