Power is the main source in modern society, and it is made good use as power electronic equipments are wildly used in power system. But the harmonic pollution produced by power electronic equipments is harm to security, stability and economical running of power system. Nowadays,"green"energy is appealed intensively, detection and compensation of harmonic is a serious problem which is must be resolved. Therefore, research on APF has momentous theoretical significance and great practical value. In actual application, Shunt-APF is used extensively and has been studied intensively in this paper. Harmonic current detection and compensation blocks are the key links of APF. As for harmonic current detection, the widely used algorithm ip-iq based on the instantaneous reactive power theory is adopted in this paper, algorithm d-q is also modeled and compared to it. As for compensative current controlling, advanced Space Vector Modulation (SVM) based on hysteresis current controller, which has fast transient response and high precision, is adopted. Above all, three current control methods: detecting load-current control, detecting source-current control and compound control are analyzed and compared, also, they are modeled and simulated respectively. The outcome shows compound control combines virtue of former two methods, and achieve better compensating effect. As for the problem of switch frequency, multiple use is choose to solve the contradiction of power and switch frequency.Blocks of APF are designed by simulink of MATLAB in the paper. The results indicate compensating effect is excellent.
