The society is in dire need of high-powered long span space structure along with the development of the economy, industry production , culture and physical education. Based on this demand this paper studies a new cable-stayed space grid which uses the theory of cable-stayed bridge. The purpose of this paper is to find out that if this structure can enhance the level of span.Considering the uncertainty of the exerting order and the rational pre-stress of cables , it's imposible to study the structure using traditional experiment. Using computer simulation it can simulate the influence of variety uncertain factor and analyses the structure repeatly, so this paper chooses computer simulation to analyse the structure. Using computer simulation, this paper analyses the static features of the cable-stayed space grid. The pre-stressing in cables of the phase of use and construction is found. This paper analyses the displacement of the two phases. The main results are as follows:This paper analyses the state of use of the cable-stayed space grid. For the sake of achieving rational pre-stress, it adjusts the pre-stress value of the cables until the force of the chords comes to a limit value based on the rule of the internal force of the chord. This paper studies the distribution of the internal force of the chord and also points out amelioration of the structure.In order to enhance the level of span, the paper introduces carbon fiber composite cable(CFCC) into the structure. The characteristic of CFCC is light mass, high intensity, small downwards transmutation and thermal expansion coefficient. The result of the study indicates that the internal force of the chord and the pre-stress value are both smaller in the CFCC cable-stayed space grid than in the tightwire cable-stayed space grid.The load gradually reduces to the state of deadweight, then the pre-stress of the cables is found. This paper analyses the rule of the internal force of chord and the displacement.The conclusion of this paper is that the cable-stayed space grid can enhance the level of span and the CFCC is displayed to advantage in the cable-stayed space grid.
