The analysis of wave propagation in layered soil is important both in theory and engineering. The natural soil was mostly simplified as the isotropic elastic solid for idealization, however, the soil always stratified due to the different depositional age. So we should use the layered medium model to reflect the in homogeneity along the depth. We just use this kind of modal to study the problems in this paper. The scattering of P and SV waves by a canyon in the layered half-space are studied by using the indirect boundary-element method. Taking the homogeneous layer resting on a half-space as an example, we calculate the response of three different thickness layered site with different stiffness ratio respectively, and analyzed the impact of the incidence angle, incident wave frequency, stiffness ratio and the thickness of layers on the response according to the results. The angle of incidence, the incident wave frequency, stiffness ratio and the thickness of layers all have the important influence on the response of the site. With the increase of the incident wave frequency, the amplitude distribution become complex gradually. The thickness affects the resonance frequency of the site directly, and then affects the response of the site. With the increase of the stiffness ratio, the amplitude increased in general, the more the incident wave frequency close to the resonance frequency, the evident the trend is. |
