The southwest of China is abundant in hydropower energy, with the development of the hydropower projection, many hydropower stations will be born in the southwest region, mainly are big or middle hydropower stations. The problems of intake earthquake-resistance are put on agenda because most of them are located southwest region, where the earthquake activities are stronger. Therefore, it is very significant to conduct the research on static-seismic simulation and performance evaluation for structure of intake.The temperature of water release largely affects the agriculture of the down river region. As people gain more knowledge about the effect of temperature to crop, there are many measures applied to improve water temperature. The layered means of NUOZHADU reservoir is a method of improving downriver temperature, so the intake tower of the hydropower station is a layered intake tower.In this paper, the method of three dimension finite element was used in analysis of NUOZHADU intake tower. The content include the research of the structure stress distribution, the structure dynamic characteristic and the effect to the structure dynamic characteristic aroused by dynamic water pressure. According to the result of the spectrum analysis and transient dynamic analysis, it researched the characteristic of the layered intake tower's stress and strain under earthquake and evaluated the performance of seismic design.When the strobe of intake-tower is opening or closing, there are some stress and strain changes in intake tower because of the fluctuating load. Recently, the vibration of the hydraulic structure caused by high-speed flow is concerned problem of hydraulic engineering constructions in our country. In this paper, it took the fluctuating dynamic load as the condition of prompting, and took the layered intake tower as the object of analysis, then gained the seismic response. Finally, there are some discussions about the flow-induced vibration and Seismic response.
