With the fast development of the international economy and the shipping enterprise, the freight transportation of container ships serves as a very important role in the shipping field according to its unique superiority. Because of the structural particularity and the polytropy of actual loading situation, the longitudinal strength and the torsional strength of container ship is very weak, so the longitudinal strength and the torsional strength of container ship is difficult to be satisfied. But in fact, they are equally important to the safety of a ship.Because of the fact that the structure of shipping and ocean engineering system is becoming more complicated, the working range is expanding constantly, the environmental condition is even more abominable, the expectations for reliability is higher and higher. So, the analysis, design and guaranteeing to the reliability on the structure system has already become important problems that can't be ignored. Function that the container ship is corroded by the external environment condition in the course of operation, makes its capability to bear loaded external limit decay with the growth of time. The load received by the hull and the strength of the hull is needed to be described by stochastic process, and the failure analysis of ships must adopt the principle and method based on structure reliability.Firstly the load outside the container ship is analyzed, and then the computing technology with loaded limit is drawled, at last the mathematics characteristic and probability distribution of the loaded extreme value regarded as the stochastic process is confirmed in this paper. Meanwhile, the corroding rate is regarded as a stochastic process of mean value, and the limit bearing capacity of container ship is analyzed, so the relation between the shipping limit bearing capacity and time is established. Then the state equation of limit is set up, and then the reliability is calculated using the principle and method of liability. At last, the instance analysis is carried on to a 900TEU standard container ship by calculating the reliability of the ship changing over time, to draw the law of the impact of corrodes on reliability of a container ship.
