In the process of rapid urbanization development in China, the research and practice areas of landscape have been greatly expanded. Expanding trade needs us to expand our inherent concept, and in the context of globalization, the new coordinate system needs us to re-examine the status of the Chinese landscape with a more open mind. Meanwhile, in recent years especially since the beginning of this century, Chinese are also increasing emphasis on the quality of the environment. Many units view the entire process of design services including programming design, construction design, environmental design as reflection of Competitiveness and direction of improving the level of service; Designers' knowledge structure are changing towards a more integrated and holistic development. This is a great improvement. However, the modern landscape design and education in China have only recent decades time which are only on the development process in the initial stages of development. Disciplinary system and the industry environment are not perfect. Especially the Subject Construction, professional education, practice and theoretical research are still far from mature. So the study on the status and educational development of Chinese landscape have great significance for fostering high-level personnel who can adapt to the requirements of the times and the international trend of the landscape planning and creating the common beautiful homes.Landscape is the complex made of land and space and objects on the land. It is the brand of complex natural processes and human activities in the land whose Meaning was extremely rich. First this paper discusses the meaning of landscape from the aesthetics of landscape, geography, ecology and so on; By comparing teaching philosophy, education, management and curriculum of outstanding foreign landscape institutions, the author summarize the common goal of the training, curriculum guidelines, curriculum programs which can provide the base to the development of Chinese landscape education; Meanwhile landscape of the different professional backgrounds and education modes on the domestic agricultural and forestry colleges, building institutions, arts institutions and Geography are analyzed and compared, means and methods of the professional landscape education which are suitable for the construction of Chinese national conditions are also Raised; Finally, in the times of cultural and artistic diversity, the qualification which China's contemporary registered landscape designer should have and how to improve the quality of the designers are discussed...
