| University is formed by history and develops in the future.In order to meet the emergency of the enormous increase of college students in recent years, there is an upsurge of architecture extension and construction in the university. In the development of campus construction, the designers explore various concepts but the level of which are of great difference. Under this condition, it is of great importance to research the variation of the university's architecture forms and to deduce its develop rules and to conclude the root of the designing concept.In the dynamic development of university construction, the thesis mainly discuses the heritage of the university and its context, culture and concepts in the process of designing. The paper divided the research of the connotation of university construction feature into the aspects of dominant feature and recessive feature, with the theories and methods of traditional Chinese architecture as reference. The dominant feature of university construction refers to the set of concrete factors as the campus planning structure, architecture construction, architecture forms, architecture styles and values. While the recessive feature belongs to the set of those abstract elements as the designing methods, concepts and values which controls and affects university construction forms as well as the appreciation, evaluation and affection of university architectures. The two features coexist and are both "integral parts" of university construction.The paper, for the first time, combined the theory of Youbin Hou about"dominant and recessive heritage"in Chinese traditional culture to the construction of university campus. In the research of university architecture's dominant feature, from microcosmic to macroscopical aspects, component to integer study, the author discussed the heritage of architecture, space, environment and holistic group structure in the course of college construction. While in the research of recessive feature, from general to detailed study, the author revealed the essence of concepts and idea which affect the college architecture designing, putting forward three levels as primary—concerning logic designing method, secondary—concerning feeling of the inside world and senior—concentrating the concept of value. With the analysis of the relationship of three levels, the author also studied the essential rules of campus architecture creation refining the theory with the reference of the study of relevant philosophy and art.With the study of the heritage of the dominant and recessive feature of concepts and symbols in the process of university construction, the author intended to avoid the conflicts between historical dominant heritage and modernism, to provide a fine combining point for tradition and modernity focusing the heritage of essential connotation of university with modern university construction's culture heritage.The paper contains more than sixty eight thousand words and with 134 pictures in total. |
