In the increasingly crowded traffic, transport more and more today, traffic noise pollution affects people's daily life and rest. Noise barrier set up sound source control is especially important measures traffic noise, the urban areas and abroad on residential areas across the highway, rail transit, viaduct and other traffic on both sides of route is generally a noise barrier and realized the other noise reduction means by no substitute for results. In view of this case, the paper mainly studied sound radiation properties of structure, acoustics material characteristic and the way to control the noise radiated by the noise barrier.In order to understand the acoustic characteristic of noise barrier, the text with deeply into the points from analyzing the principle of noise attenuation by noise barrier, but great emphasis on research with studying the mathematics model of insert loss and acoustic considerations of noise barrier. After reading a mound of references, we classified and gathered the noise barrier's types and performance characteristics. The paper is focus on not only in the analysis of the principle of noise barrier, but also in the sound distribution characteristic behind the noise barrier on highway and combinded elevated. This paper conducted field monitoring of Xiliu noise barriers, Sanshilipu noise barriers and Bayuquan Sanshilipu noise barrier on expressway and comparied the calculating results and with measure results, it was shown that the model is suitable for the prediction of the insert loss of noise barrier on the highway.This dissertation introduces and discusses acoustic theory, designing principal and content for noise barriers. Basing on the example of Nanerhuan and Huibaoguoji, first, author deeply analyses the noise reduction frequency characteristic curve, then systematically analyses and designs some issues of the noise barrier about end value of noise attenuation, location, length, height etc. Disuse types and other absorption materials are used and developed to become a new type of noise barrier which can mitigate the traffic noise impaction by reverberation and noise absorption. We optimized the noise barrier design further through analyzing the experiment results.The dissertation's content include acoustics theory and so on. We discussed many key points, such as the viaduct on the noise barrier, multiple objective function selection and multiple hereditary algorithm optimizing calculation and so on. This dissertation proposed feasible efficient convenient and reliable new design method for the noise barrier's design. This dissertation is useful and meaningful for the noise barrier's design.
