The control system of the Superheated Steam Temperature is very important for increasing the thermal efficiency of unit system and guaranteeing the unit safe operation in the boiler of the heat-engine plant. With many disturbance factors to the superheated steam temperature, the dynamic characteristics of the Superheated Steam Temperature have the features of large delay, great inertia, time-varying and non-linearity. Especially, the model will be different in case the load of the power generation changes. so the conventional steam temperature cascade control could not meet the requirements. This dissertation analyses the problems exist in the super heated steam control, then try to put the predictive control strategy into superheated steam control. Model Predictive Control is different from the control systems based on subjects; it is based on the models. Further, it does not have too many demands for the models, and it can be calculated on line. So it is attractive to many fields. This dissertation calculated a model from the research of the data fetched from control system, then takes simulations of the applications of the Model Predictive Control on the superheated steam temperature based on the characteristic of Model Predictive Control.Current research achievements in boiler temperature distribution visualization can provide the practical basis for the inspection and control of the combustion conditions in the boiler. The radiative energy signal could reflect the combustion situation in the boiler rapidly and accurately without the influence of the anthrax. Adds a radiant energy signal fetched from boiler as a feed forward signal to the predictive control system which has been designed to improve the control quality. Finally, the summary of the overall work, some conclusions and advices on further investigation and modified measurements are given.
