The fluorescence microscopy has been widely used in the field of biology and medicine. The monochromator is a very important part in living cell fluorescence microscopy system, which emits monochromatic light.A peripheral control system for the monochromator based on USB2.0 (Universal Serial Bus 2.0) is discussed in this thesis. In this control system, three control models, the automatic calibration, the temperature monitor and an interface of man-machine conversation were designed. The design of control system improves the safe and intelligent performances.This thesis describes the hardware and software design of the peripheral control system for the monochromator. In hardware design, the FX2 is used to control the mirror positioning system. And the temperature monitor circuit base on ratio method, the automatic calibration and power control circuit were designed. The OLED is used for displaying the state of the instrument. And besides, the manual controller communicating with microprocessor by the RS232 protocol was built. It provides an interface of man-machine conversation for experimenter. In software design, more attention is focused on the programming language and environment, debugging and flow.
