With the development of industry and the improvement of people's lives,industry waste -water and domestic sewage that exceed the national drainage standard drain into water,the widespread use of chlorinated hydrocarbons trichlorothene and perchlorothene (TCE and PCE) as cleansing solvents and their accidental and illegal emission into the environment has led to a serious pollution of groundwater resources all over the world .Conventional technologies for a removal of those contaminants e.g. coagulation- settling-filtering-disinfection, only transfer the pollutants from the water into another phase. In contrast to the conventional processes, the oxidation technologies (especially Advanced Oxidation Processes,AOPs) convert the micropollutants to harmless substances.The mechanism of Advanced Oxidation Processes is based on the formation of hydroxyl radical(·OH) and degredation of pollutants into carbon dioxide and water subsequently.The hydroxyl radical has strong oxidation ability,which can degrade trace organic compounds of water directly into H2O and CO2.It reduces the quantity of organics instead of accumulating or converting. It is a mineralization process without second pollution to the drinking water.The treatment of micro-polluted water by hydrogen peroxide and activated carbon is an advanced treatment that is extensively studied home and abroad. Hydrogen is one of the most strongest oxidants,because they can generate much of hydroxyl radical(·OH). Hydrogen can decompose organic substance,which are hard to be degreaded.The aim of the treatment of micro-polluted water by hydrogen peroxide and activated carbon was the removal of the organic matters and turbidity.The treatment of micro-polluted water by hydrogen peroxide and activated carbon.The result of the research showing: (1)Pre-oxidation micro-polluted water with H2O2 , whether the type or amount of organic matter has been a sharp fall compared with the conventional water treatment. When the PAC's dosage is the 3mg/L and the hydrogen peroxide's dosage is 2mg / L , the UV254 and the CODMn can be declined very obviously, dropping 85.14﹪and 54.32﹪. (2)Most of the organic matter in raw water is removed.After using the pre-oxidation micro-polluted water with H2O2, the turbidity of the ediment water and filter water can be declined by a certain degree compared with conventional water treatment.Then obviously improved the quality of filter water,lengthened the filtered column's action cycle, saved the water which used for itself. Adding hydrogen peroxide , the water's turbidity can be possiblly to below 1 degree. The effect is better than throwing PAC alonely. The turbidity of the water after filtration can be achieved 0.38NTU. (3)The turbidity and organic matters of the filter water can be declined by a certain degree which water through by the quartz sand filter column and granular activated carbon filter column. After filtering, the water's turbidity has achieved 0.38NTU; the UV254 and the CODMn can be dropped to 94.60﹪and 75.76﹪;the remnant of H2O2 is 0.31×10-5mol/L, approaching the trace amount.And then obviously improved the quality of filters water. It can build the foundation to further study for the complex process of micro-polluted water.
