The direct air-cooled condenser (ACC) performance parameters are designed according to the rated condition. But in actual operation, the change of external load and environmental parameters will cause the air-cooled condenser operating in off-design condition, and affect the economic performance and security of the air-cooled power plant. Thus, it is very necessary to analysis the off-design condition of air-cooled condenser. By analyzing the construction character of direct air-cooled condenser, the relationships between the condensation quantity of steam with condenser pressure, cooling air mass flow, condenser heat transfer coefficient, total heat transfer area and environmental temperature is established. The affect of each factor on the performance of condenser is also analyzed, and conclude that the condensation quantity of steam should be a criterion in performance evaluation. In fixed ambient temperature and different air mass flow, the relation curve between condensation quantity and exhaust steam temperature is figured out, which can provide an acceptance method in off-design condition. In the trial period, by measuring ACC imports air temperature, exhaust steam pressure, exhaust steam temperature, condensation of water mass flow, wind speed, input power and pressure loss of air fan, and other parameters, the characteristic curve can be calculated. After modifying the deviation of test parameters and converting the test result into standard running parameters, we can determine whether the actual performance of ACC could satisfy the guarantee values. Finally, we can get the accurate acceptance conclusion.
