Along with the development of sonar technology, the work frequency of the Active & Passive sonar began to be extended to the scope of hundreds Hz level. The passive noise control technology is used in the traditional method, which is more effective on high-frequency noise control, but the effect on low-frequency is not very good. Active control technology has great advantage in the elimination of low-frequency noise.The active noise control technology and adaptive control technology were combined together in the paper, the adaptive and active broadband sound absorption system was designed. The F-XLMS algorithm was adopted in the system, which was carried out on DSP platform. The system is introduced in three aspects, the introduction of adaptive and active sound absorption principle, hardware design and the results of experiments.In this paper, through experiments, it proved that no matter in the air or in the water, the system can control single-frequency signals, swept signals and certain bandwidth white noise, and it also has excellent sound absorption effect.Based on the above results, the author fatherly raised the idea of the production of underwater active sound absorption mantle, and produced a kind of simple intelligent underwater sound absorption material in accordance with the actual situation.
