In this thesis, the main part is the research on the radiation of leaky coaxial cable using FDTD. This thesis calculates and simulates the radiation field of leaky coaxial cable using FDTD method, summarizes the process of the calculation, provides a basic theory for calculating the radiation characteristic using FDTD in the confined areas.At present, the solution of the radiation of leaky coaxial cable is traditional analytic method depending on the equivalent magnetic stream and Maxwell equations, the process of it is complex and the result is not nicety because the calculation circumstance is seemed to be perfect. FDTD method is easy to realize, and it can gain the direct time domain results, also it takes less room of the computer than other methods, so it is an effective solution of the radiation of leaky coaxial cable.The other main part of this thesis is the combination of Z transform and FDTD method to simulate the propagation of the electromagnetic wave in the dispersive medium. This kind of combination is easy to realize, and it is convenient for the generalization of programmes. Otherwise, the same combination is used in the implement of PML, and it works well.This thesis also introduces some basic theory of leaky coaxial cable, such as structures, sorts and electric characteristic indexes of it, and the theory and key technologies of FDTD method are also illuminated in thesis.
