This paper explains the general situation of development about the detecting of the frequency, amplitude, phase and harmonic of elcetric power system, and introduces the characteristics and the current situation development of them.The frequency, amplitude and phase of elcetric power system as weighing the quality of electric energy needs to be monitored; as the important feedback state for implementing the security and steady controls, it requires being real-time constructed again. The paper offer the collectivity project, and design the hardware project of the collecting board and the flow chart of the software, then mainly discusses the pluses and minuses of the multifarious frequency estimation algorithms, and develops a new phase estimation method for synchronized measurements, which is based on the three-point algorithms. According to different applications, the corresponding algorithm procedures is provided, Some simulation results are listed to test that algorithm can satisfy the demands of frequency measurement for real-time, fast and accuracy, and establish a solid foundation for suppressing spectrum detecting.With the application of the nonlinear electronic devices, harmonics pollution caused by these devices is growing seriously. Active power filter is an effective method to prevent and manage the harmonics, in which harmonics detection is a key technology. Owing to the inherent nonlinearity, randomness, distributing, nonstationarity and complexity of influencing factor on power system harmonics, many conventional detection techniques can't acquire accurate harmonic identification. This paper expatiates on the harmonic generation, harmonic harm, harmonic analysis, the control of the harmonics and the harmonic analysis algorithm, analyzes and discusses the method applied to measure harmonics.
