Fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) is a kind of optic interferometer, the function of which is to measure carrier's angle-velocity. With the deepening of the study, the measurement of FOG and the calculations also have been developed successfully. And with the moderate highly-accurated FOG having already been developed successfully, the random noise analysis in the output signal of FOG and the filtering method also have been developed.In this paper firstly gives a view of different measurement about the FOG ' s development and the future, choose the more advantage measurement in the nation and the overseas for experimentation, and analyzes the principle of the FOG, introduces the performance index of FOG and analyzes the output signal of FOG.Secondly the common filtering methods for FOG random error are analyzed. Based on wavelet filtering technology, analyzes the different method of wavelet filterer. FOG output data are filtered by different wavelet filter. At last, compare the precision of FOG output. The result indicates that the wavelet filtering can filter the FOG output availably; it can be used to provide the precision of FOG.Thirdly, for FOG random error properties, the principle of Allan variance method in IEEE std, model fitting method in National Military std are analyzed, giving the random error properties, and analyzed the result, compare the measurement precision and the degree of usability for actual project. The result may use to provide the precision and compensate the error of FOG.Again, this paper invent the dynamic testing method of fiber optic gyroscope The dynamic characteristic of the fiber optic gyroscope rapid response resolve to carry out research work, so it is a very practical significance. However, the research institutes at home and abroad a still have not formate unified testing method and standard on the dynamic characteristics of the fiber optic gyroscope. This paper presents a comparison in different frequency gyroscope output with the theoretical value of the difference between the existing and in the laboratory triaxial conditions, the actual comparison gyro rotating turntable set with the frequency of the difference between the frequency of rotation for the FOG dynamic performance evaluation of the pros and cons.Lastly, considering the complicated progress of data acquisition and data processing , this paper put the data acquisition and data processing into one programe and carry out a large number of experiment. The processing of data includes: scaling factors, the gyro output signal filtering,theoretical value of fitting, the calculation of theoretical value and variance analysis, as well as Allan noise analysis. These results of experimental data and data processing will provide a very valuable reference for improvement of FOG.
