Along with the development of long span and space structure ,and people's needs about aestheticism of building, so Beam string structures appears on time. The Beam string structures uses bar connecting bending resistance member and tension member and applied pre-stress on tension member is a self equilibrating system. Because of low self weight and reasonability of load carrying, the beam string was applied increasingly in project .Based on different forms of structures of single beam string structure, which can be divided into single Beam string structure, two way Beam string structure and multilayer Beam string structure, in which single string Beam's capability played the leading role. So feeling about single Beam string structure's capability is very important.This paper summed up the classification and features of Beam string structure,on this basis listed project cases both home and abroad, review and sum up the developments about home and abroad, gives introductions of this paper's research .This paper analyzes a few parameters which are pre-stressed value, rise-span ratio of arch, rag- span ratio of cable, moment of inertia of arch and number of struts about BSS,searching relations of which with the displacement and internal force of BSS,providing with suggestions to engineering design. This paper also researches asthmatic behaviors of BSS,using the method of response spectrum comparing with the static results. In the end ,uses time history analysis comparing with the response spectrum.
