At present, with the increase of China's urban metro network construction and the wider use of technology of shield, more and more adjacent shield tunnel construction are taken up close to the existing MTR lines .It has been an urgent and key issues to research effects of the shield tunnel close to the existing MTR lines, and, accordingly put forward the corresponding targeted controlling measures. The document in the world was studying the idea from successful experience of past projects was borrowed.Refinde and generalized. On the base of managerial method was systematized involved in the course of tunnel under-crossing the existing subway structure. The following conclusion favorable to theory and experience were acquired through above study.1. Against the chief interaction problem and the target of the object safety in the engineering of crossing the existing tunnel, all jobs ensuring the target in the all phases were generalized.2. Based on the two example of existing line getting through each other and one example of duplicated tunnel shield construction in Shenzhen Metro the No. 2-Line extension between Zhenda district and Dadong district , using three-dimensional finite element simulation and numerical analysis ,studied the effect of the settlement between the new tunnel and the existing one.3. Analyzed the theory and the characteristics of the surface settlement during shield tunnel construction process, by numerical simulation of effect of the settlement between the new tunnel and the existing one under different conditions , compared the first excavation of the duplicated tunnel at on-line and off -line, come out the construction plan based on the minimum of the existing line's settlement with experience. The conclusion of the study well serviced the actual project.
