Linear motor is a kind of equipment of converting electrical energy into linear movement use. In most occasions where need converting rotary movement into linear movement, linear motor shows its superiority . It is suitable for high-speed, low-thrust, small displacement, high-precision positioning control. As the DC motor linear device by the impact of uncertainty, the additional load of the influence of interference and non-linear, and the sliding mode variable structure control is an effective method of non-linear robust control. The controlled system dynamics is not be affected of the disturbance under the sliding mode. In this paper, it is used that the behavior of sliding mode variable structure control theory with a fast response, robustness, precision, etc., to control the linear DC motor.In this paper, linear DC motor combined with a balance of power and voltage balance equation and obtaining the mathematical equation of linear DC motor. Linear DC motor block diagram of the system and the positioning of linear motor control system is established. The main task is to complete the design of sliding mode controller, in order to achieve the goal of control. From the simulation curve, it is seen that the controller to track the performance of the signal does not change too much, When the system parameters remain unchanged where combined with various kinds of interference on the system. On the other hand, in the stability of the mathematical analysis, it is founded as a result of outside interference makes the stability conditions of uncertainty factor-d. when d values become larger, they can increase the scope of system stability. But the switch will result in larger values. Completed the design of the control of this phenomenon can be modified sliding mode controller. Graphics from the simulation, the design is proved that the modified sliding mode controller can be improved with the advantages of buffeting. Since the sliding mode can be designed with the object parameters and the disturbance has nothing to do, which makes variable structure control with fast response to changes in parameters and disturbance insensitivity without online identification system, inability to realize the advantages of easy.In this paper, the use of sliding mode variable structure controller can achieve the goal of tracking. By the simulation results prove that the sliding mode controller has good noise immunity. In addition, the improved modified sliding mode controller is indeed high-frequency chattering of the system. Therefore, the use of the modified sliding mode controller has the advantages which are fast response and simplify the design.
