Using on-board electrical energy storage device to recover the kinetic energy when vehicle brakes is the biggest advantage of Hybrid vehicle. The energy can be used to drive the cars to reduce the cost of vehicles' fuel, which is particularly important for city buses. However, because of battery performance factors, the efficiency of vehicle braking energy recovery is poor. Now, more and more problems have been arisen in hybrid electric vehicles (HEV), and none of any energy sources can solely fulfills all the demands of HEV in some circumstances. Hybrid energy sources system become one alternative solution.In the paper is designed for hybrid bus hybrid energy storage system, proposed the use of ultra capacitors and nickel-hydrogen batteries comprising a new type of hybrid energy storage system solutions. First of all, an anises of hybrid electric vehicle power supply on the request of the ultra capacitor and several other battery performance were compared confirmed the ultra capacitor in the provision of car boot, brake, the energy release and recovery performance, the use of the cycle frequency of General advantages. The program takes full advantage of the characteristics of ultra capacitor, so the engine can work at high efficiency, the lower engine oil consumption.Design of the hybrid energy storage system power conversion unit circuit topology, the energy storage system of the compound of the working principle and developed a digital control strategy. This topic research by the super electric capacity hybrid stored energy system, the modern design, this kind of energy storage installment's research in HEV application will be one tendency.
