Abstract The modeling of Contact-Impact in multi-body systems is very important and complex in many engineering fields. There is no reliable all-purpose model for the description of the process of Contact-Impact. For simulation of Contact-Impact, the modeling and computing of Contact-Impact must be realized. This thesis, supported by the National 863 Project (No.2004AA411010) and the National Key Science and Technology program (No.2004BA201A85),aims at the implementation of module of Contact-Impact of InteDyna, which is a multi-body dynamical simulation and analysis platform.Firstly, the theories of multi-body dynamics for Contact-Impact, as well as the algorithm of resolving of the Dynamics equations are represented. And based on these researches, the implement of Contact-Impact simulation module can be developed.Secondly, the general process of the multi-body Contac-Impact modeling is decomposed. By analyzing the basic model elements and the internal topological relationship between the elements, the architecture of Contac-Impact module of the multi-body system is established using the object-oriented designingFinally, by using these technologies, the Contact-Impact module of multi-body module is implemented based on ACIS platform, in terms of its rollback mechanism, file management and geometry expressing function. The architecture and function of the platform are simple introduced, combined with the modeling and simulation of a type of sulfuration machine built on this platform. The results show that the research works in this thesis are validated.
