Outrigger-braced structures as a modification of framed-tube structures is widely used in high-rise buildings, and sometimes belts are used in this structure for it has an outstanding merit to improve the lateral stiffness.Based on this theory, the thesis conducts a space dynamic analysis on a framed-tube structure that has different belted and outrigger plans by ETABS. The main contents of the analysis are listed out as below:On the basis of the FEA theory, uses the general FEA soft ware ETABS set up a structure model; through the modal analysis, compares and sums up the change of the free vibration characters of the model under different belted plans; horizontal wind loading analysis to the model is conducted. The force and displacement of the model under different belt and outrigger plans is compared. From the results of the wind loading analysis, try to probe the rule that how the belt works to reduce the displacement and improve the lateral stiffness; by the means of temporal analysis, conducts horizontal seismic analysis to the model. Compares force and displacement of the model under horizontal seismic with that under Horizontal wind loading. Then, suggestions on seismic design of the outrigger-braced structures with belt are presented; put forward advices on locating the optimum position of the belt, when only one belted outrigger is to be settled. The influence of belt to the outrigger-braced structure is overall described. The conclusion and law obtained in this thesis is helpful to the analysis and design in practical engineering.
