With the developing of mobile computing and wireless communication technologies, handset mobile devices are widely used in the region of mobile data collection, transmission, disposal and personal information service, which demand the power of small battery. Because of their weight, size, higher available energy densities and long life, lithium-ion batteries have become the best battery recently.A linear battery charger is proposed in this paper. This chip uses CC/CV/CT control arithmetic to charge the lithium-ion battery, so maximize the charge speed without the risk of over heat, improving the problem faced by linear battery charger. With the mismatch design consideration, this battery charger can reach high accuracy.This chip is implemented in XFAB XB06 process, the results of test satisfy the design specifications, and validate the correctness of circuits design.
