In order to achieve computer diagnosis of locomotive faults, theory of binary tree and fuzzy mathematics are presented and applied to the expert system. By the application of these theories, a new theory of fuzzy analysis based on binary fault tree was put forward in this paper, research and design of a new Locomotive failure diagnosis expert system by the application of fuzzy analysis based on binary fault tree as well.Firstly, by using the theory of binary tree, the traditional process of failure diagnosis was converted into binary fault tree mode by this system; secondly, by using the theory of fuzzy mathematics, the vague description of locomotive failure was converted into mathematics model which can be qualitative and quantitative analysis; thirdly, through dynamic database technology, the diagnostic process was converted into expression of diagnostic rules. Fact has proved that this expert system achieved the fast, efficient diagnosis of locomotive failure.This paper includes three important parts. The first emphasis of the dissertation is the establishment of binary fault tree; the second is the fuzzy analysis of binary fault tree which based on the theory of fuzzy mathematics; the third is the design of inference engine and knowledge base.In the first place, the defects of the original expert system and domestic and foreign technology of the expert system technology are introduced. According to that, the content, purpose and significance of the paper are brought up.Secondly, the overall structure of the expert system, the features and links of every module, and the software environment of the system are introduced.Thirdly, arm at the two key theories of binary fault tree and fuzzy mathematics, looking up relevant technical information at home and abroad, anglicizing and filtering the optimal method, a new theory of fuzzy analysis based on binary fault tree is brought forward. All of these build a solid foundation of the pattern database.Finally, combining all the previous research results and dynamic database technology, a new knowledge base and inference engine which based on the expression of diagnostic rules were studied and designed.From the practical application, based on the advanced mathematical modeling thinking and computer technology, this system opens up a new line of thought for the research and design of expert system, has important research and practical significance as well.
