Geotechnical anchor-hold technology which marked by the use of anchor bar is one of the widest applied technology in geotechnical engineering. Because of the anomaly of geological structure, the unevenness of geological stress distribution and the uncertainty of geological condition, the load on anchoring structure are uneven. which often result in the partial destroy of the structure,and bring on the entire invalidation of the whole structure at last。In this paper, based on fully analyzing geotechnical anchor-hold technology, a self-protective installation which can be named the plastical deformation instrument is introduced. It is planed to resolve the partial safe question above-mentioned in prestress anchor-hold structure. The equipment which is applied in structural self-protection can guarantee the actual stress in prestress anchor bar or anchor rope under design stress,then protect anchor-hold structure not to be destroyed。The equipment does not limit the strain of the next structural component; the structural system can redistribute the internal force through its distortion, until get the proper extent. These characteristics form the base of the structural self-protection system. The paper also introduces the test research of the safe-protective installation, and analyses the test results. The feasibility of this installation is validated qualitatively by the analysis.According to the principle of the self-protective installation, a new idea on self-protective design of geotechnical anchoring structure is presented. And a calculational model which is applied in slope pile-anchor structure is set up. The research show self-protective unite structure has much excellence in structural calculation, safety, credibility, economy and application, and so on. This design method can resolve many problems that traditional method can't resolve. The technology has great practical foreground。At last, a pile-anchor structure is analysed by finite element method (FEM) analysis software as the example to validate the feasibility of the self-protective unite structure design.
