Autoclaved Flyash-lime brick is a new type material of wall. Compared with common clay brick, it not only can save land resources, but also make good use of waste and save energy, is the main direction of reform at this stage.Xi'an metallurgical Architecture Institude and Sichuan Research institute of architecture science once had do experimental research about 59 common clay brick masonry axial compression and eccentric compression columns (10 kinds depth-thickNess ratio together ranging from 3 to 30, section size of 240 mm×370mm and 115 mm×490mm), the results tally much with the existing code for design of masonry structure. However, the relevant reports on the axial compression long columns of Autoclaved Flyash-lime brick masonry have not been seen both at home and abroad yet. Because of the changes of materials and production process , whether or not the original test results can be continued to apply into the feasibility is becoming an urgent problem which need to be solved pretty soon.In order to have a more clear understanding about the properties of axial compression long columns of Autoclaved Flyash-lime brick masonry, this experimental research took Autoclaved Flyash-lime solid bricks and Autoclaved Flyash-lime perforated bricks as the main materials. On the basis of the basic materials test of two pieces of blocks and luting cements, the experimentation on a total of 18 axial compression long columns made of Autoclaved Flyash-lime solid bricks and Autoclaved Flyash-lime perforated bricks has been done, focusing in depth on the breakage forms , the force performances, the distribution of load-deflection, and law of different depth-thickNess ratio and so on. Applicability is verified that whether or not the axial compression long columns of autoclaved Flyash-lime Brick masonry aplly with the existing masonry structure design code. The proposed formula of stability factorφ0 of axially loaded compression members has been made. Experiment and theory has yet been provided for the forthcoming establishment of the Technical Code for wall material application and Technical Code for Masonry strcture of Autoclaved Flyash-lime Brick.
