The difference between the highest and the lowest electrical load has become bigger and bigger with the development of the economics and society, it is urgently to take part in load adjusting for the bigger capacity turbine units. How to got maximum economic benefit and higher operation reliability of unit has become the seeking goal of many researchers and workers. Although there are many methods (such as heuristic optimum, equivalent differential increment theory, dynamic programming, genetic arithmetic et al.) for the optimum regulating burden of thermal power units, however, the theme for the optimum regulating burden hasn't been commendably solved, at the same time, all of these methods don't consider the reliability of the unit's operation, and it is obviously that they are not appropriate and comprehensive.In this paper, the previous different optimum methods of adjusting electrical load is analyzed and evaluated, it is first time to present and investigation on Dynamic Rule Method basing on the Economy and the Reliability (DRMER) for optimum load-burden about turbine units of thermal power plant, and the optimum economical adjustment mathematic models with DRMER are also put forward, simultaneity, the expression(equation 6.20) that determine the optimal stop mode of the units is also presented basing on DRMER. At the same time, to find the life span consume of units is an important index basing on analyzing the different reliability indexes of thermal units, and the life span consume of units can be used in the DRMER. Simultaneity, for the 5 x200MW thermal power plant, the life span consume coefficient is obtained in different operation mode of turbine unit, then the optimum load-burdening characteristics of units are ascertained with different optimum method(equivalent differential increment theory, dynamic programming, DRMER), and the merit and demerit have been analyzed. The research results shows that DRMER is more proper to optimize load of the thermal units, the economical benefits is higher than that of other optimum method obviously, and can get higher operation reliability of unit.The method and the results can be the reference of optimum economical load adjustment about the similar thermal power units.
