Submarine is a kind of important facilities in ocean exploitation and research. With the development of submarine, it requires lighter, smaller fittings and meanwhile must satisfy the maneuverrability in demand. The Variable Vector Propeller is a kind of specific Propeller that is capable of continuously generating any degree of thrust in any three dimensional direction by varying blades'pitches cyclically in the process of rotation and responds easily to the slightest change in the robot. By using Variable Vector Propeller, it is able to reduce propellers and consequently to contribute to the volume and the light weight of ROV, etc. The Variable Vector Propeller can be broadly applied in Submarine. The data collecting system is designed to measure the pressure pressed on the blade and fulfill the equipment controlling.Taking C8051F021 as the hardcore, the data collecting system is designed for the experimental platform of Variable Vector Propeller. The data collecting technology is the base of the system in monitoring, and the signal collecting rate, precision and dependability play a important role in the system, only with the right data can achieve precise result. For the experimental platform of Variable Vector Propeller, the data collecting system is designed not only for some data collecting about the bending and torsion stress pressed on the blade, but also for the system control when the Propeller is manipulated in the progress. In order to realize it, some tasks need accomplish, for example: (1)a sensor is designed to measure the pressure pressed on the blade; (2) AC servo equipment is adopted to complete the initiative disc running speed control; (3) a hardware circuit is designed based on C8051F021 MCU; (4) By MCU programmers based on C and PC interface programmers based on Delphi designing, the system fulfills data transmission between MCU and PC, realizes real time controlling.The system satisfies the desire of multicenter collecting, high precision A/D and centralized control. The experimentation validates that the system has high stability, high precision in hardware circuit, and also could be monitored by PC, not only convenient but also achieving good result, And it has an important role in the propeller studying.
